New partners for Litigation and Patents
Kasznar Leonardos is pleased to announce the promotion of three new partners, effective January 2021. Ísis Valaziane and Luciana Minada will become new partners in our Litigation Department and Tarso Machado, in our Patent Department.
This advancement is a result of the dedicated efforts of our collaborators, who seek, every day, innovative solutions to our client’s needs. We believe in acknowledging the talent and value of our people as the keys to an organic and sustainable growth of our firm in the years to come.
Please find below more information about our new partners:
Ísis Valaziane, joined our team in 2014, as an attorney in our Litigation Department, headed by senior partners Gabriel Leonardos and Rafael Lacaz. During her journey, she participated in the development of a new practice area, Marketing and Entertainment Law, headed by our partner Fernanda Magalhães. She works with clients from a wide range of industrial sectors such as: aviation, steel, telecommunications, among others.
Over the past six years, Ísis also collaborated in other initiatives of the firm, mentoring of new hires and as a speaker in several editions of our internal onboarding program, among other projects.
With ongoing studies of a Masters in Business Law, from FGV/RJ, she has a specialization in Civil Procedure Law, from Candido Mendes University and she graduated in Law at UNIRIO University.
Luciana Minada, joined our team in 2008, as a trainee working under the guidance of senior partners Elisabeth Kasznar and Claudio Barbosa and as an assistant to our partner Nancy Caigawa.
Luciana assists in the coordination of our Litigation Department in São Paulo and is also one of the coordinators of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also heads the internal Patent Judicial Litigation Seminar Program, dedicated to our patent specialists.
With ongoing studies of an MBA in Management and Business Law from FGV/SP, Luciana has a specialization in Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Media Law, from ESA-OAB/SP and she graduated in Law at USP – University of São Paulo.
Tarso Machado, electrical engineer, joined the team in 2014, after passing through other job experiences in the patent area.
In our firm, he started as a technical specialist, coordinated by senior partners Gustavo Barbosa and Eduardo Rosman. Since then, Tarso also had the opportunity to mentor new talents and interns.
He is specialized in the electronics area and is constantly representing our firm in congresses and meetings worldwide.
With ongoing studies of a Doctorate in Innovation and Intellectual Property from INPI, Tarso has a Masters in Electronic Engineering, Intelligent Systems and Automation and he graduated in in Electrical Engineering, both at UERJ – State University of Rio de Janeiro.
